The Rosette and Cone Nebulae in Monoceros
The constellation Monoceros, which lies within the winter Milkyway, contains a wealth of spectacular deep sky objects. In this image, the Rosette Nebula, NGC 2237, 2238, 2239, 2246, adorns the upper right hand corner of this image, while the smaller Cone nebula, NGC 2264, region lies to the lower left. The blue reflection nebula to the upper left is IC 2169.
