Hello! Thanks for visiting my "About Me" page. If you are like me, its always nice to learn a little more about the people I converse with instead of just the virtual existance of someone through the web and/or email. I decided to do an "About Me" page because I think its nice to share not only my astrophotography work, but also a little about my life.
I am presently married to my wife Lenka, who is from the beautiful town of Kutna Hora in the Czech Republic where the famous Bone Church of Sedlec is located, and have one son, Michael, who is almost two years old. I graduated with a BSEE from Lehigh University in 1995 and am presently employed by Lockheed Martin MS2 in Moorestown, NJ designing power systems for a variety of naval, airborne, and landbased radar and weapon systems. My wife Lenka graduated with a Masters degree in English education at the University of Pilsen in the Czech republic and also received BA degrees in both French and Spanish at Rutgers University here in NJ. She presently teaches high school level French and Spanish.

Although astrophotography is my first love when it comes to shooting pictures, I also enjoy storm and lightning photography as well as portraiture using my home studio.
When not raising the family or holding the camera, I can usually be found in my high voltage laboratory doing consultant work for my engineering consultant company, Eastern Voltage Research Corporation, or working on my latest solid state Tesla coil project. Many late nights and long weekends were spent developing some of the most advanced and powerful solid state Tesla coils ever to be produced. This past year I had my second book on the subject published, "DRSSTC : Building the Modern Day Tesla Coil." Throughout the year, I attend several high voltage conferences presenting my work, as well as perform high voltage demonstrations for both educational and corporate events. I have also been featured in several magazines, including FORTUNE, which you can read here.
I also enjoy rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, and camping as well as playing classical piano. My favorite composers these days are J.S. Bach and Claude Debussy and I enjoy playing the piano for my son, Michael. Hopefully in a year or two he'll be ready to start piano lessons himself!
